Lake Khovsgol National Park
This card set contains images from one of Mongolia’s premier national parks and the surrounding area. Established in 1992, the park covers 838,000 hectares – the entire lake and its watershed – and is augmented by the Horidol Saridag Strictly Protected Area, adjoining the park on the southwest. The lake, 135 kilometers long and 262 meters deep, contains some of the purest water on earth. The surrounding mountains rise to over 3,000 meters, and support an unusually rich diversity of plants and animals.
This collection is the product of Conservation Ink, a nonprofit organization devoted to supporting conservation and environmental awareness in Mongolia’s protected areas through the production and sale of published educational materials. All proceeds go to conservation efforts in and around the national parks.
Art prints of these images are available for purchase. For information, contact Conservation Ink.
